Job Summary: As an Innovation Evangelist, you will be at the forefront of promoting the Aegis Graham Bell Awards for Innovation. Your primary role will be to identify and engage potential nominees, sponsors, and partners, leveraging your passion for innovation and your sales expertise. You will be instrumental in expanding our network, increasing award nominations, and securing sponsorships, all while advocating for the importance of recognizing and fostering innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with potential nominees for the awards, explaining the benefits and process of participation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, including innovators, enterprises, academic institutions, and industry associations.
- Secure sponsorships and partnerships by presenting tailored proposals that highlight the value and visibility opportunities associated with the awards.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and campaigns that effectively communicate the mission and impact of the Aegis Graham Bell Awards.
- Attend and represent the awards at industry events, conferences, and seminars, enhancing visibility and networking with potential nominees and sponsors.
- Meet and exceed sales targets related to nominations, sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Provide feedback from the market to the awards committee to help shape the categories, criteria, and overall strategy of the awards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree any field.
- Proven sales experience, preferably in a role related to innovation, technology, or awards programs.
- Strong understanding of the innovation ecosystem and a passion for emerging technologies and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade high-level stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and target-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to attend events and meet with potential nominees and sponsors.
