Institute of Management and Research is run by Shri Shivaji Maratha Society which was established in June 1921, under the able guidance of His Highness Chh. Shri Shahu Maharaj (King) of Kolhapur Sansthan. The society is established in the memory of the Great Maratha King, Shivaji Maharaj, who spent his childhood in an around Pune. The Society is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. National leader Shri Sharadchandra Pawar is our inspiration of the society.


The Institute of Management and Research (IMR) is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi , affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (Formerly known as University of Pune) & recognized by DTE Govt. of Maharastra. The Institute is established in the year 2001 with the main objective of imparting quality professional management education to all strata of the society. IMR, which is providing excellent training in management education is located in Pune's most convenient, prime, lush green area which is an added advantage. The institute has excellent infra structural facilities, similar to any well established institute. The institute provides all well equipped facilities to the students to excel in management education.

Highly qualified, experienced and dedicated full time as well as visiting faculty is a asset to our institute who delivers blend of lectures comprising theoretical knowledge strengthening the fundamentals of management coupled with case studies and practical exposure. Teaching method is user friendly, students oriented and fully accelerated in the making of compatible warriors in the field of management. Thus influential development tools are being employed for nurturing the personality of our students. Of course we believe Mentorship programme enhances our students for better responsible managers of tomorrow.

Our Future Plan:

• The Institute is planning to set up a Research Center and is likely to start ISBN and ISSN Journals to boost research activities in the field of Management.
  • The institute is planning to provide consultancy and training services to various organizations from Corporate sector.
