About this course
This course gives an Introduction to the next generation Broadband wireless technologies (WiMAX & LTE) and its salient features. It teaches the Technical comparison between WiMAX & LTE and The Indian BWA scenario and criteria of selection of either of the technologies for the BWA operators in India.
This course also gives you an Overview of the LTE releases and features of LTE. Review of OFDM and MIMO techniques applied in LTE. LTE frame structures of LTE-FDD and LTE-TDD modes. Topic discussed as EPS Architecture and functionalities of the various elements, Description of the various Downlink and Uplink channels; scheduler operations, Handovers, SON feature and Quality of service as defined in LTE standards. The course will also discuss issues in implementing voice over LTE and discuss the possible solutions.
