The Institute started in the Year 1980.  The campus was constructed in a wide area of 18.5 acres.  The instituion is located in the Nalgonda town about 3KM from the Central Bus Station on the way side of Hyderabad Road.  The College campus is maintained beautiful, covered with full of green trees providing peaceful study environment.
The institution is offering four Diploma Courses namely Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.  About 1300 students are presently studying in this Polytechnic in different disciplines.  Hostel facility is available for Girl students. 
It is the oldest Govt. Polytechnic in Nalgonda dist with 4 Diploma courses in college. i.e 1. Computer Engineering.  2. Civil Engineering   3. Mechaical Engineering  4. Electrical & Electronics Engineering
