Government in the phase of providing Technical Education to Scheduled Caste/ Tribe students, the vision of establishment of Government Model Residential Polytechnic, Gajwel, in earlier Medak District (Present Siddipet Dt.) only for Boys, has taken shape in the year 1988 with DECE, DCCP, DME branches at Diploma level with an intake of 60 seats in each of the above three disciplines. This is a fully residential polytechnic with hostel accommodation for all students who got admission in this institution. For all SC and ST students who got admission here will be provided Test books, Notebooks, two pairs of Uniform, College bags, drafters, calculators etc for free of cost.
This institution is well equipped with all required laboratories, library facility with nearly 1200 volumes of books, vast play grounds and sports facilities, Skill Development Centre (SDC), Virtual Class Room, Industrial training will be provided for the final semester students in prestigious organisations such as CITD, ETDC, Govt. and Private Sectors
