OEMs, as you know, have been ultra slow with innovation. Take aspects of aero, HMI, in-cabin experience, drive cycle adaption, or data relay to customers - few have really taken the charge, and unfortunately, none in India.  

We hail from an aerospace background and could see a huge potential being wasted. Thus, we started Planet Electric to build a 5-seater electric car that is 2x more price-to-range efficient along with a unique RWD race-car-like driving experience. This is made possible by lightweighting (not unfamiliar in aerospace systems), but with mass-produced composites to achieve the desired price points for India and similar markets.

With a 5x decrease in tooling requirements, we can quickly adapt to customers' needs and introduce unique form factors, unlike the giants. With cell-based manufacturing within 10,000 unit micro and decentralized factories, we overcome the perennial issue of scale for OEM upstarts and can register profitability at low volumes. 

Founders are former launch vehicle engineers (ISRO) along with a star-studded team of auto experts from various OEMs like Ford, Daimler, SAIC (MG), Ather, Chrysler, Honda, and others.
